About Jordyn

Originally from Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Jordyn’s first exposure to music was in her childhood church. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2014 and a Master of Music degree from Southern Methodist University in 2016.

If you attend a Sunday worship here at CHCPC, you will very likely hear Jordyn’s soprano voice or catch her playing the flute or tickling the ivories of the piano. Jordyn and her significant other, Joel Brich, live in Cedar Falls with their super cute miniature long-haired dachshund Iris.

Fun facts about Jordyn

How long have you served CHCPC? Since 2017

Tell us about your family: My partner Joel grew up here at CHCPC. He owns a digital archiving business that keeps him busy, regularly experiments in the kitchen, and is a video game buff. My dog Iris has the biggest personality. Her favorite thing to do is go shopping (specifically at HomeGoods, usually the dishes aisle weirdly enough.) She keeps herself busy window watching to protect the neighborhood from squirrels and bunnies.

Who are people that inspire you? Dolly Parton, Julie Andrews, Sir David Attenborough

What is one thing that most people don’t know about you? I spoke with an English accent as a young child due to hearing issues.

Do you have any weird quirks? I have a brown fleck in one of my eyes. I’m also pretty much always multitasking.

What is your least favorite thing to do? You know that thing where you have to talk about yourself? That.

Hidden talent? Appliance repair/general DIY

What makes you laugh? Dad jokes and silly videos of animals and/or children

What is your biggest fear? Leaving the closet door open at night and something coming out of it.

Favorite Music, Movies or TV Shows: Mary Poppins, always and forever.

Favorite Sports Team: Green Bay Packers!

Favorite Books: There are too many to list! I’m reading a lot of biographies lately if that helps.

Favorite Season: Spring – specifically that part of late April or early May when the lilacs bloom.
